Why Choose Our Card Cutting Services?

Quality stays consistent

Speed matters when you’ve got a deadline. We turn most card cutting jobs around in 2-3 days. Rush orders? We can often cut and ship within 24 hours if you’re in London. No minimum order quantities means you’re not stuck ordering 1,000 business cards when you only need 50. We’ll cut a single prototype or a production run of 10,000. It’s the same attention to detail either way.

Precision cutting

You’ll get precision that hand-cutting can’t match. Our laser cutters work to 0.1mm accuracy, so those tiny details in your design show up in the finished piece. Thin card stock that would tear with a blade? We cut it cleanly. Intricate wedding invitation borders?

Why Choose Our Card Cutting Services?

Minimal Waste

Design agencies love working with us because we collaborate on files. Send over your vector artwork, and we’ll flag anything that won’t cut well before we start. That saves you time and wasted material. And if you care about sustainability (most of our clients do), we source recycled and FSC-certified card stocks. Our laser cutting process produces minimal waste compared to die cutting.

Cost effective solutions for short-run production

Our laser cutting service is perfect for prototyping and small production runs, with a fast turn-around time. We can cut paper of any thickness or shape, and produce intricate designs that would be too difficult to cut by hand.

Card Types We Cut

01

Paperboard and card stock

We handle anything from 200gsm up to 2000gsm. Wedding invitation card at 300gsm? Perfect. Thick presentation folders at 800gsm? No problem. The heavier the card, the more dramatic the cut edges look.
02

Corrugated card

Single-wall, double-wall, we cut both. Packaging designers use corrugated for structural prototypes and limited-run gift boxes. The fluted layers create interesting visual effects when you cut intricate patterns.
Finish quality depends on the material. Lighter cards give you super-clean edges. Heavier boards might show slight darkening where the laser touched. That’s normal and often adds character to the design.

Applications of Card Cutting

01

Wedding invitations and stationery

Custom-cut borders, intricate lace patterns, and monogram details. We’ve cut everything from simple geometric invitation cards to elaborate multi-layer place settings. Couples often test different designs with us before committing to their final quantity.
02

Packaging prototypes

This is huge for product designers. You can test your packaging structure, see how the tabs fold, and check if the graphics line up, all before you invest in expensive die tooling. We’ve helped brands prototype soap boxes, perfume packaging, and artisan food containers.
03

Event displays and props

Theatre companies order cut card letters, decorative backdrops, and layered scenic elements. Event planners use our cut cards for table numbers, menu holders, and welcome signs. Fashion brands have commissioned window display pieces in heavyweight card.
04

Business cards and tags

Stand out from the boring rectangle. We cut, shaped business cards, hang tags with custom silhouettes, and swing tags for clothing brands. Think outside the standard shapes. Your card can be literally anything.
05

Decorative stationery

Greeting cards, gift tags, paper bunting, layered art pieces. Artists and illustrators use our cutting service to produce small-batch stationery ranges or limited-edition prints with cut-paper elements.

The precision of laser card cutting

You can’t beat the precision that laser cutting paper provides. With our service, you’ll get the clean cuts that you need for intricate designs. Not to mention no burning or scorching your cards–the perfect choice for any designer!

Our Process

01

Send us your file

You’ll start by sending us your design file. We work with AI, DXF, PDF, or EPS formats. Basically, any vector file that shows your cut lines clearly. Don’t have a vector file? We can often convert your design, or you can work with one of the illustrators and designers we collaborate with regularly.
02

Review

We’ll review your file and send back a proof within a few hours (usually faster). This proof shows exactly what we’ll cut, so you can spot any issues before we fire up the laser. Changes at this stage cost nothing. It’s just a quick file adjustment.
03

Precision Cutting

Once you approve the proof, we load your card stock and set up the laser cutter. Cutting time depends on complexity and quantity, but most jobs run through our machines in under a day. The laser follows your design’s vector paths with ridiculous precision, burning through the card to create clean-cut edges.
04

We can help you

Want engraving too? We can add surface details, like text, patterns, or texture, before cutting the final shapes. This works beautifully on thicker cards where you want both dimensional cuts and surface decoration.
05

Quality Check

After cutting, we check every piece for quality. Any finishing touches (removing backing paper, light sanding if needed) happen here. Then we pack your cards carefully and get them ready for delivery or collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of card can you laser cut?
We cut card stocks from 200gsm up to 2000gsm. That includes standard paperboard, corrugated cardboard, speciality wedding cards with metallic or textured finishes, and recycled materials. If you’ve got an unusual card stock, send us a sample and we’ll test it before quoting. Some materials (heavily coated cards, certain plastics) don’t work well with laser cutting, so we’ll tell you straight away if there’s an issue.
Absolutely. Wedding stationery is a big part of our work. We cut invitation cards with intricate borders, RSVP cards, place cards, menu holders, and decorative envelope liners. You can test different designs with small quantities before ordering your full set. Most couples order 150-300 invitations, and we usually turn these around within a week. Rush weddings? We’ve cut and delivered invitation sets in 48 hours when needed.

Yes, we cut high volumes regularly. Production runs of 5,000-10,000 pieces are normal for us. We’ve done bigger. Our laser cutters run efficiently for both one-off prototypes and bulk manufacturing. Trade clients get dedicated project management and staggered delivery if you don’t want 10,000 cards arriving all at once. Pricing improves with quantity, obviously, but you’ll find us competitive even on smaller batches.

Most packaging prototypes are ready within 2-3 working days. Simple boxes or sleeves often cut in under a day, so if you submit files in the morning, we might finish by afternoon. Complex multi-part packaging with engraving or multiple materials takes longer, maybe 3-5 days. Need it faster? Let us know when you request a quote, and we’ll adjust our schedule. London-based designers can collect the same day if we’ve got capacity and you’re not fussy about timing.
