Launched in 2010, ALEXANDRA LLEWELLYN is known for creating original and beautifully handcrafted backgammon sets, luxury games and bespoke furniture. Her designs are both games and objected art.
For this project Alexandra required brass plaques for the outside of her Bespoke board games. The plaques needed a clean and polished finish with ‘Alexandra Llewellyn’ engraved on them.
Using our high powered fibre laser the plaques were cut from a 1.5mm thick brass metal.
In order to get the desired shape of the plaques, we needed to round off the edges using a disk sander. Once the sanding was complete, we then used our highly accurate galvo laser engraver enabling us to flawlessly engrave the test onto the plaques. The final step was to then polish the pieces giving them a clean finish suitable for Alexandra’s luxury board game cases.
